1. Acceptance

By installing or using the Docs to Design plugin ("the Plugin"), you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Service Description

The Plugin converts Word documents (.docx) into formatted design layouts. It operates within design tools including Figma, InDesign, and Canva.

2a. AI and Third-Party Integrations

Your documents are processed entirely on your device. The Plugin does NOT transmit your document contents to any external server or AI/LLM provider. All conversion, layout, and formatting logic runs locally within your design tool. The Plugin does not use your documents to train any AI models or machine learning systems.

Third-party integrations:

• Figma Plugin: Runs entirely within Figma's application. Figma handles the plugin runtime; your documents stay within your Figma workspace.
• Canva Plugin: Runs entirely within Canva's application. Canva handles the plugin runtime; your documents stay within your Canva workspace.
• Web App: If you use the Docs to Design web application, documents are processed locally on your device. The web server does not receive or store your document contents.

No AI provider, cloud service, or third party sees or retains your documents.

3. Eligibility and Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Plugin. Users under the age of majority in their jurisdiction may require parental consent. By using the Plugin, you represent that you meet these age requirements.

4. Tiers and Pricing

Free Tier:

• Requires email activation (one-time verification code)
• Up to 5 document imports per 30-day rolling period
• Up to 5 content pages per import (cover page not counted)
• Full typography, tables, lists, and layout formatting

Pro Tier:

• Unlimited document imports
• Up to 20 content pages per import (cover page not counted)
• Full embedded image rendering
• All Free tier features included
• Requires an active subscription via LemonSqueezy (our payment processor)

Pro tier pricing is listed at docstodesign.com. Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. All sales are processed through LemonSqueezy (operated by Lemon Squeezy LLC), a merchant of record powered by Stripe. LemonSqueezy's privacy policy applies to payment information — see lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.

5. Billing and Refund Policy

• Pro tier subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time to stop future charges.
• Pro tier purchases may be refunded within 14 days if the Plugin does not function as described

• Cancellation may be managed through your LemonSqueezy account or by contacting support at

6. Intellectual Property

• Documents you process remain your property
• Output generated by the Plugin is yours to use without restriction
• The Plugin does not claim ownership of any content you create or convert

7. No AI Training

We do not use your documents or the outputs you generate to train any artificial intelligence, machine learning model, or large language model. Your content is never shared with AI providers under terms that permit training. We do not use your designs to improve, develop, or enhance any AI products.

8. Limitations of Liability

• The Plugin is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind
• Except where prohibited by law, our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Plugin shall not exceed the fees paid in the last 12 months, or $50 USD if no fees were paid
• We do not guarantee compatibility with all Word document formats or features
• Document fidelity depends on the source file's structure and formatting

9. Usage Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer the Plugin's licensing mechanism
• Distribute Pro tier product keys to unauthorized users
• Use the Plugin in ways that violate the host platform's Terms of Service

10. Data and Privacy

See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling. In summary: your documents are processed locally and never leave your device. We collect only your email address for account management and usage tracking. The Privacy Policy is the source of truth for how we handle your information — this section references it.

11. Data Controller and Processor

For European Union (EEA) users: MZM Labs Inc. acts as the data controller for your account data (email, usage history, and authentication information) and as the data processor when handling documents you submit through the Plugin.

For Canadian users: MZM Labs Inc. is a Canadian company subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). You may file privacy complaints with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta at oipc.ab.ca.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflicts of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Alberta.

13. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time via the plugin's Settings panel. Upon deletion, your email, usage history, and all associated data are permanently removed. Any active Pro subscription should be cancelled separately through LemonSqueezy or by contacting support. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as the Plugin evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated through the Plugin's update notes.
